Primary Title grades K-1

Hello! My name is Mrs. Shannon Kinkead and I am the K-2 Title teacher at Bainbridge.  Our classroom is called Voyager. Voyager is the name of the curriculum we will use this year.  This is my 10th year teaching at Bainbridge Elementary.  Previously I taught 2nd grade for 8 years and I taught 1 year in 3rd grade.  I love teaching in the primary grades and reading is my passion, so teaching in the Voyager classroom seems like a perfect fit!

I am a former Bainbridge Elementary student and a graduate of North Putnam.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Indianapolis and my Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

My husband and I live near Bainbridge and have been blessed with two wonderful children.  Our daughter, Grace, is a 1st grader at Bainbridge and our son, Brody, is 2.  They keep us very busy!

I am fortunate to have a full time assistant working in the Voyager classroom with me.  Mrs. Henninger has been at our school for 5 years.  She worked in the library for 1 year and has been teaching Voyager for the other 4 years.

We are very excited to work with your child on their reading voyage!

Intermediate Title Grades 3-5

We call our Title I program for grades 3, 4, and 5 “STAR.”  STAR stands for STudent Achievement and Remediation.  My name is Nancy Stinemetz and this is my tenth year as a teacher in Title I. Previously, I taught third grade for five years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Reading minor through Indiana University. I continue to learn every by attending conferences and researching instructional strategies.

I have two assistants this year. Mrs. Coulter is returning for her seventh year in Title I. Mrs. Tennis is beginning her fourth year with us. We are excited to work with your child and you!
